Meeting 1 - February 2nd: Agenda

First Executive Conference Committee Meeting
Wednesday 2 February, 11.00-2pm

  • Introductions and aims of the meeting (15 mins)
  • Conference 2010: Review of performance and key stats (10-15 mins)

- we will look at who attends the conference; types of job functions; types of organisations; private/public sector split; geographic split of delegates

  • Conference 2011: Discussion with all members who will be asked to consider:

- New ideas for conference format, in particular (30 mins):
- how can we improve interactivity between presenters and delegates at the conference (encouraging more questions from the audience)
- encouraging interactivity between delegates (e.g. incorporating knowledge cafes/un-conferences into the programme)
- ideas for encouraging delegates to stay until the end on the 3rd day (e.g. do we finish at lunchtime or run through the lunch hour and end at 2pm? The hour break for lunch from 1-2pm means no reason for delegates to stay in the conference centre)

- Conference themes 2011 (1 hour)
- What are the ‘hot’ areas we need to cover in 2011?
We will start this by asking each person what are the top 3 challenges they face/or their clients face. This is the most important part of the meeting, please come with lots of ideas, the conference themes need to reflect the challenges facing the profession.

Break for lunch (20 mins)

  • Ideas for keynote and senior speakers (30 mins)
  • What happens next?
